Jessie Bastos is a mother of three, a seasoned technology leader, and a lifelong resident of Davie. She attended Silver Ridge Elementary, Tequesta Trace Middle, and Western High—all local schools, just like her children. She knows firsthand what strong public schools can offer and what it takes to make them better.

With more than 20 years of experience building relationships and driving millions in revenue within Fortune 500 accounts at Samsung and leading diverse, high-performing teams at T-Mobile, Jessie brings a unique perspective from the private sector. She knows how to demand accountability, eliminate inefficiencies, and deliver measurable results. Her focus is clear: make Broward schools safer, stronger, and more competitive.

Jessie has spent years volunteering in classrooms, helping build school gardens, supporting PTSA initiatives, and launching hands-on programs that connect students to their environment. She serves on local committees focused on education, planning, and sustainability, always working to strengthen the community she calls home.

On the School Board, Jessie will champion higher teacher pay, responsible budgeting, and stronger partnerships with families and local organizations. She will expand career and technical education, enhance extracurriculars, and invest in academic programs that create opportunity for every student. Jessie is running to ensure our public schools live up to their promise—and she’s ready to get to work.
